Davina and Jamie have left for Singapore to have their grand wedding. Too bad I cannot join them. However, they let me to take care their kitten, Roxy, for 10 days.

Roxy is really sweet. Unlike my royal felines, Roxy is very relaxed, witty and curious. She is not afraid of stranger and is curious to check out everything in my house. One time she sneaked in my bathroom and got her paws all wet. Then when she ran into the living room which covered with marble floor, she slipped a big time. I couldn't help from laughing. She loves to play hide-and-seek inside a big shopping bag by herself.... (more)

Tung Chi Wah finally becomes a passe... Shall we have a toast?

However, the whole thing was a very poor crisis management case study. I feel sorry for this 68 yr old man. He seems to be a nice man but unfortunately a poor politican especially in this turn of the century politic climate. He would have been a hero if he had stepped down 2 years ago when over 600,000 people went on the street to protest. It'd have been a graceful exit. He has his moment.

It is a wrong start at the beginning already. A leader without the backing and blessing from his/ her people is doomed. It's bad that... (more)

Flew back from Singapore last night. The city was trapped in a thick blanket of fog. Dehumidifer is in high demand. I even find myself a bit moldy. Hope the weather clears up soon.

I will be in Singapore for work tomorrow and spend few days there. Heard the temperature is quite hot there. Just amusing to think that I was in the coldest town of India last week and I will be close to the hot spot next week. These days I cannot really pack up my winter or summer clothes.

After missing in action for 2 weeks, I am finally back to Hong Kong from my Gulmarg trip. Yes, I did go there alone. However, I came back with everything intact. Itself is already an accomplishment. The detailed of my trip can be found in my another blog: http://skicat.blogdrive.com and my photo blog: http://kitontheroad.blogspot.com

Glad to be back. Really. The trip has helped me so much to put things back into appropriate perspective. Life is worth for living no matter what. When I was trapped in the snow mountain, I asked God to help and I promised to be nicer to others. God worked his... (more)

Christmas is a time of friends visiting me from all over the world. Right now, I have Angela visiting me from Taipei. And, she taught me how to write in 5 part essay.

Here is her example:

When you visit a city as complicated and modern as Hong Kong, you need a good guide. You need someone to give you the skinny on what to buy and where to buy it. You’ll want to know what’s going on in different parts of the city. And you’ll want to stay in comfort and style. For all these things, there’s only one person to know: Kit....
Tsunami disaster donations

It is sad to see the tsunamis hit so many countries in Asia on 26 Dec. I have sent out couple of emails to friends who either are there or have families there. Hope to hear from them very soon.

Those countries have offered us great holidays and services. If possible, we should at least pray for them and hope they can get on with their lives.

Here are few donations information in HK for victims in the affected countries:

Red Cross (Hong Kong)
Tel.: 28020021 or 61857693 (after office hours)
Web-site : http://www.redcross.org.hk/
Bank A/C: HSBC 500-334149-010

Yoko's stay

Yoko has spent 2 nights in HK with me. We went to Shek O, Big Wave Bay and the Peak. Quite hectic but we had a good time especially the weather was fantastic, dry and warm.

One day, on our way home, I took Yoko to walk the route I usually take to go home from work. I showed her this:few letter boxes made of tin and had 'sister', 'brother', 'father', 'teacher' and 'teacher' characters on them. However, the mail boxes looked very worn out and had no mails inside. I always wonder who put those up.
